Pain deserves a conversation
Persistent pelvic pain or periods that repeatedly disrupt everyday life deserve assessment. Similar symptoms can have different causes. Endometriosis is one possible explanation, but it should not be assumed from a symptom checklist.
Tell the story of your symptoms
Note when pain happens, its relationship to your cycle, any bowel or bladder symptoms and how it affects work, sleep or intimacy. Previous prescriptions, scans and treatment responses can help build a clearer picture.
Understanding the options
Depending on the assessment, the discussion may include symptom management, further imaging, specialist referral or surgery. Ask what each option is intended to achieve and how progress will be reviewed. Neither a procedure nor a medicine can promise the same outcome for everyone.
A useful first step
Bring a short symptom diary and your existing reports. The first goal is to understand your concerns and agree on a practical next step together.
