Changing needs, continuing care
Your gynaecological health matters beyond pregnancy and the reproductive years. A consultation can make space for changing periods, menopause-related concerns, contraception questions and preventive care.
Start with what affects you
Describe the changes you have noticed and how they affect sleep, comfort, work or relationships. Bring a list of medicines and relevant past conditions. There is no need to decide on a treatment before discussing your concerns.
An individual discussion
- Symptoms and whether further assessment would help
- Treatment options, potential benefits and risks
- Screening appropriate to your age, history and earlier results
- Follow-up, comfort and day-to-day wellbeing
Preventive care without guesswork
Screening schedules and treatment choices are not identical for everyone. Bring previous screening reports if you have them and ask what is appropriate for your circumstances. New or unexpected bleeding should be discussed with a clinician.
